While you're here, perhaps you'd like a drink and a snack?

DRINKS MENU | SNACKS MENU |
Now that you've settled in with your snacks, feel free to peruse the Entertainment Guide below. You can learn about activities to do on NeoCities, scenic destination sites to visit after your stay here, and more...
these are meant to encourage users to find people with common interests, especially on neocities, where there's no algorithm suggesting connections to you. they go by a variety of names (which afaik have no formal definitions), like webrings, cliques, fanlistings, and clubs.
RPG CLUB
Draw your own 100x100 pixel RPG character cards and create a team with other people's character cards! Submit your card to the club here. Below is my character menu! it's 1000x1000 so that it's more visible, but the official 100x100 version can be found here.POCKET TOWN
This link exchange/pixel clique involves creating your own little pixel home, then adding other people's homes to your town! You don't have to ask permission to link to someone's town; this is just a way to show off your favorite sites :DMy house is on the left, so if you feel like linking to me in a fun way, save the image, then add it to your own pocket town with a link to my page (I would recommend setting "image-rendering:pixelated;")! for more information about Pocket Town, click on the second house by the cactus.
YUM YUM SHOPPE
This is another link exchange that involves drawing your own little shop items, and then "buying" items from other sites. (just save the image of their item and add it to your table). you MUST list the site you got it from in one way or another and your items MUST be 15x15 pixels (mine are, but i display them as larger because they're hard to see). Here is my shop and my cart.

JAR JAM
This is another link exchange that involves drawing your own jar, then displaying other people's jars that you think look cool! and of course you link each jar back to its creators. To get started, check out this page
VIRTUAL PETS
virtual pets used to be more common, but there aren't too many you see on Neocities (I assume because they're hard to make). Here are the two I've seen, both of which I believe are managed by melonking:

Of course the most fun thing to do on Neocities is to visit other peoples' sites!! Keep track of your favorites, bookmark them or link them on your own page, send them messages via their guestbooks or the Neocities profile page, take inspiration from what they include on their sites, peruse their shrines, maybe even develop new hobbies or learn of new art and media from other people, look at pictures of their cats, read their stories, look at their art! Create your own button so they can link to you as well! There's so much you can do!
Here are the buttons from sites I really like:

There are two forum/bulletin board-esque sites that I'm aware of, which seem to generally be for people who maintain personal sites. I'm not active on either of them, but I like to peruse them as ways to discover new sites or get inspired for site layouts, color palettes, etc. JUICE BAR is a phpBB-powered bulletin board for those who enjoy pixel art and/or are webmasters! It's run by the very cool pom from pomelo and the lovely robyn from pastel hell. MELONLAND FORUM is a forum run by Melon of the MelonLand Project. It's closed on Mondays! It is a very large forum with all sorts of topics and events to follow!
